16 ounce can
Pours in a glass a golden color with a small amount head and excellent lacing. Color is great with a slight haze to it. Definitely not a cloudy thick beer hence “west coast style”.
Smells like a cream sicle! the smell really pops on this one, as does the flavor. Really getting that orange and vanilla notes but not at all overpowering, subtle.
taste is great with a smooth medium mouthfeel, orange/vanilla flavors are there, and taste like a creamsicle from back in the day.
Overall this is a great beer, well balanced and although some may think it’s gimmicky, the beer itaelf is exceptionally well balanced. Worth a try for sure! and the abv and price point on this one are make it a great purchase

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Slightly hazed medium golden pour with massive fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Orange citrus, pine, and light vanilla. faint spice.
T/F: Light grains followed by a pine/citrus hop profile. West Coast style... grapefruit rind and evergreen mixed with herbal notes. Slightly medicinal. The vanilla is faint but noticeable at the back end. Medium to light bodied and sticky on the tongue.
O: A reasonable West Coast IPA. Not my favorite, but glad I got to try it. I'd have it again in a pinch.

Definitely has the west coast bitterness, overly hoppy in my opinion. Didn’t really get the “dreamsicle”aspect either. Dark orange/brownish almost in color, should have steered clear when I read west coast on the can. Didn’t like it and wouldn’t buy it again

16 oz can 5/21/18 poured into a pint glass, a clear orange with active carbonation and three finger fluffy white head. Great lace retention. The aroma is hoppy goodness, mostly on the grapefruit/pine/citrus side. The flavor is hop forward with back end orange citrus notes. Not picking much of the subtle vanilla, maybe it meld better in a week or so. A little alcohol is apparent here and there. The mouthfeel is medium, with a medium amount of carbonation, even after the huge release on the pour, but near the end the carbonation is non existent. Overall, a good IPA worth seeking out, over the top name and marketing message not withstanding.
