i have not had anywhere enough beer from these guys, so when travel plans changed and i ended up at a gate next to their charlotte airport location, i had to make time for a pint. this is a sold pils, easy drinking, not overly european but loosely german and not short on flavor, i believe done for a local soccer team, makes for a refreshing travel pint, thats for sure, nice and fresh and tidy and well proportioned. blonde and lively, with at least an inch of airy white head, consistent bubbles rising up, pretty good clarity, and a lightness about it all, some lace too as it drinks, even from a plastic pint cup. aroma is pleasant, balanced, and bright, definitely fresh, i get the lager yeast first, classic, well deployed, patiently done it seems, bready and doughy at the same time, nice with the crackery pils malt, this is where the german essence is, in the grain, very light on the hops, but i dont wish for more. the flavor follows the aroma, fresh, biscuity and with a lot of flavor from a very pale grain, which is nice, good integration of the yeast character, trace honey sweetness, and just a lightly floral flash from the hops at the end, off dry with each sip lingering just enough to tee up the next. best when frosty cold, crisp enough, of solid overall quality, and a total drinker that makes great sense in a stadium context but sure hit the mark in the airport too, really high carbonation that drives home the thirst quenching side of it, more than just a yellow beer too, dug it!

Canned on 08/09/23. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Clear honey-gold hue with 1-2 finger white, big-bubbles head with below average retention but respectable lacing.

S: Initial aroma is of sulfur and hot dog water that thankfully fades after a couple minutes to leave a low-intensity slightly bready pils malt and soft herbal noble hop notes.

T: Flavor is solid with low-intensity overall but on-target for low ABV pale German lager. Sweetbread pils maltiness with slight vegetal corn note and slightly spicy, herbal noble hops, especially prominent in the finish and aftertaste. Low-medium bitterness.

M: Light body with high carbonation and dry finish.

O: Solid low-ABV lager but spareness belies a slight off-note in the flavor.

For the crown! Canned 12/20/22. Clear pale gold, poured into a Pilsner glass, little to no head. Crisp, bready aroma. Taste is right in line. Mouthfeel is light, carbonation medium high, right in line for the style. A great Pilsner for watching a soccer game or any other type of Pilsner associated activity.
