"NoDa Brewing Company, the same brewery that recently brewed a white IPA, has now brewed a "red IPA." Or, more precisely, a dark amber IPA."
Big thanks goes out to my boy caSSino for bringing this one to share with me since I couldn't make it to the brewery to try it myself. Bottled by the brewer so I would have the chance to try it! w00t! Served from bottle into a NoDa Brewing snifter. Poured a bright red-orange with a one finger off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, caramel, pine, tangerine, citrus hop, and fruit hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, caramel, citrus, pine, citrus, citrus hop, pine hop, fruit hop, and subtle alcohol. It had a light feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. Everything on this one was really robust and nice. A really well put together brew by a great brewery. A definite must try if they ever make it again. Tick.
