Poured from 750 mL bottle into tulip. Bottle No 380 of 1200. Bottled on Sept 07, 2016.
A: Pours a beautiful hazy lemon hue with 1 inch bubbly white head that fairly quickly recedes to a thin skim.
S: Soft lemon citrus and melon hit first, then white pepper, coriander, and other soft spices.
T: Lemon and soft grapefruit hit first, then the coriander and peppery spice come through, followed by an interesting turn toward the brightening tequila influences. In the finish there are some softer notes again...pear and honey. Quite an interesting ride across the palate!
M: Soft and mildly sweet throughout. Medium body. Hints of sour and tart pop up. Lingers and matures a bit on the palate too.
D: For those that enjoy an "interesting" brew that makes you think, this is for you. A nicely drinkable and refreshing offering that is well constructed. A tequila barrel-aged double witbier with spices (say that ten times fast)...and everything hangs together well.
