Poured from an undated 12oz can
On the pour a 1.5 finger fine off white head forms, then over the next couple minutes becomes rocky but has some pretty good retention. With more time the head goes down a bit and leaves lacing before I even take a sip. The body has a good amount of fine carbonation and is a light reddish amber. Laces as you drink.
Aroma is very clean, but also very light some caramelized but subtle malts are on the back but mostly covered by a light slightly bitter grapefruit and pine hop aroma. Very balanced with bright hops but again pretty light.
Flavor is similar to the aroma but brings a bit more happiness. Still a tad bit light but the hops carry a nice fruity floral sweetness before the bitterness starts to kick in. As the bitterness hits the malts at the very back impart a slight caramel sweetness to balance. Once again balanced but light, and a bit watery.
Feel has more body than the flavor would lead you to believe because of the nice head making it a bit creamy but clearly they went a bit light on ingredients as the body feels quite watery. Not bad but this one is relying on being very easy to drink and is really only an ipa turned hiking/lawnmower beer.
Overall there's nothing wrong with it but it's very light and honestly the market segment is a bit confusing. I wish it was maltier or at least more something but it's pretty middle of the road in most of its characteristics. Very clean, probably a crowd pleaser at an office party.
