Understanding that the thirst for hops doesn't end at the U.S. boarder, SXM Beer gives hop heads what they want with a Caribbean hops bomb.
Hitting the glass with a deeper copper pour, the slighlty hazy SXM IPA floats an arid eggshell accented froth with a peppery hop scent, floral grassiness and a backdrop of caramel and nuttiness. Malty sweet to start, the early impressions of caramel, pecan and toast suggests the flavors of granola until the citrusy hops cut through the sweetness with pink grapefruit and orang peel. Trending bitter, grassy and stemmy in nature, the finish is bitter and sweet with a moderate hop derived astringency and abrasive bitterness.
Aside from the excessive hop bite, the ale lingers with residual worty flavor that shifts the balance to the grainy side of balance.
