Billed as their Premium Beer, the little island with a big heart shares their take on wold styles of beer making. But when on the Dutch side of the Leeward Island, pilsner is the flavor.
Deep golden and with a richer shade of pale than usual, SXM Premium Beer greets the nose with a raw grain scent, spicy with hops, slightly musty with cereal grain and overall worty-sweet. And that sweetness continues as the bubbles fade and it's head dimishes, the sweetness saturates the palate with unresolves wort sweetness, seeming cereal, grainy and earthy. Spicy hops help to balance the taste but does share hints of grassy astringency and and an unsettled peppery bite.
Finishing unclean, sweet and unbalanced, this beer simply needs a hug.
