Fun Juice is a sour ale aged in red wine barrels with lactobacillus, pediococcus, and brettanomyces. We then added passionfruit juice and fresh bitter orange, navel orange, and grapefruit zest to the barrel. The beer ended up refreshingly zippy, aromatic, and citrusy.

500ml bottle thanks to Steve. Cloudy pale golden brown with a small bubbly head. Peaches, apricots and a little citrus in the aroma. Taste is fruity with the right amount of sourness, some lemon acidity. Nice.

A: Lots of passion fruit, citrus (moderate amount of grapefruit zest and light bitter orange), coupled with a sharp sourness.
A: Light straw color, very hazy, with a thin white head that quickly forms a thin ring around the glass.
T: Lots of passion fruit and citrus upfront with plenty of passion fruit and grapefruit zest, light orange, followed by a sharp lingering sourness that lasts through the finish.
M: Light bodied with moderately high carbonation, and effervescent.
O: Very solid; refreshing and super easy to drink. The beer has a great passion fruit and citrus aroma and flavor that compliments the sharp sourness. This beer is intensely sour, great but almost too much sour intensity.
