On-draught @ the brewpub.
7.5% ABV. "Hazy mixed culture IPA."
Pours a hazy yellow-orange body with a white cap atop. Very pulpy.
Aroma is tart, lemony, and a bit twangy. Sourness seems mild, but acidity seems above average.
Has a soft mouth feel and some lemony twang with accompanying acidity. Vaguely fruity in terms of hop profile. Creamy. Hints of odwalla juice emerge, but it doesn't seem too tropical. Pale malts keep it even keeled. Pulpy. Slightly citrusy.
Mouthfeel is soft, smooth, and wet. Well-carbonated.
Overall, it's very drinkable but not better for having hybridized its two constituent styles. It'd be unreasonably crude to say it got the worst of both worlds, but it would be far more effective if it committed wholly to either being an IPA or a wild ale. In any case, it's inspired fare and I can't wait to see what these cats do with sour ales.
