Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Red Session. Dark brown color. Aroma has coffee and some brown sugar notes. Taste is balanced with sweet coffee, some chocolate cake and lingering coffee bitterness on the finish. Quite easy drinking for an imperial stout.

Appearance: Arrives espresso colored with a one finger tan head that fades to a ringlet while leaving dots and a few shards
Smell: Rich chocolate and coconut with vanilla and coffee tones supporting
Taste: Chocolate and coconut forward with vanilla and coffee tones building; graham cracker tones emerge, in the middle, with the chocolate and coffee bringing up the rear; coconut tones linger
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: As deft a use of coconut as I have encountered in an Imperial Stout; really enjoyed the way the chocolate and coffee blended in as well
