16oz can, goblet glass. Pours a golden yellow body, slightly hazy, one finger white head, short retention, not much lacing. Smell is moderate coconut juice, grapefruit and tropical fruit, light sugary caramel, a touch of mineral and resin. Flavour follows, with a nice big coconut water flavour, tropical fruit- guava and pineapple sweetness, plus some grapefruit. Light caramel. Nice balance of juice and trace resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, nice coconut and tropical fruit hop combination all the way through. Yummy, worked way better than I thought it would.

Any beer that falls outside of the Reinheitsgebot usually falls flat with me. Please don’t add flavoring to beer. This beer however has, at least temporarily, changed that opinion. Toasted coconut might not be the ideal beer flavoring but it works across the nose and flavor spectrum. Very refreshing and flavorful without getting in the the way of the typical hop profile of this hazy IPA. Well done
