a lot of vanilla and coconut, kinda like a pastry stout. maybe an ice cream stout. that’s not a real thing as far as i know but that’s definitely the vibes i get from this one.
no head at all. warm-brown-black color. all the way opaque. incredibly tasty and powerful smell. unfortunately the beer part is overpowered by the coconut. still wonderful, just don’t expect a phenomenal stout.

About a finger of tan head foam.
Roasted malt, some booze.
Not quite pastry stout sweet. Chocolatey, and feel like I could've blind guessed both adjuncts. Perhaps could use some bitterness, char.
Thick, reminds me of Bourbon Paradise. But better.

16 ounce can.
Pours a deep, opaque red with only a wee bit of fizz.
Smells wonderfully old school but also wonderfully unique. Very chocolate-forward with some small amount of boozy zip against the burnt barley.
Tastes great. Aggressively sweet (in a good way) up front, moving into a smoother middle of milk chocolate and mild hops and then finishing with some bitter charred malt and some lightly spicy hops. It lacks the "punch in the face" factor that's so commonly found in contemporary barrel-aged stouts, but frankly that's a good thing. It's nice to find a flavorful beer that doesn't seem like it's trying to overcompensate for something.
