5/28/26 SomosMonos Cervecería (Chicago, IL) - Taproom Notes: $8 tax included 13 oz draft, 5.0% ABV Strawberry Blonde Ale.
Appearance: Snifter draft pour to the rim, white thin bubble clinging for life around the rim and thin cover over about 15% of the peach bronze base. Carbonation dies out after a couple minutes. 3.75
Aroma: Light strawberry aroma, not much else. 3.25
Taste: Nice strawberry flavor, actual strawberries. Enjoying, tried picking out anything else and I can’t. Still digging. 3.75
Mouthfeel: light tartness helps balance the sweet strawberry flavor. Drinks light and easy, perhaps lighter than the ABV. Faint gentle carbonation, watery light body, Strawberry like Darryl all day. 3.75
Overall: I’m putting a change request for the listed BA style to the Blonde Ale listed by the brewery, though can see an argument for Fruit and Fiekd because that’s what I get the entire experiencing. Nice light and easy beer on a late Spring Chicago day. 3.75
