Firkin at Bainbridge, leftover from a DuClaw event.
Served in a bell tulip, dark brown-black pour typical of a porter, topped with a small, bubbly, beige head; minor lacing. The aroma was definitely spot-on here, like a liquid Peanut Butter Snickers, sweet, caramel, peanuts, chocolate. As far as the taste went, yeah, it was good, but essentially nothing more than a regular SBJ (roasty malts, chocolate, peanut butter, toasted bread) with extra peanuts. I guess I expected more, but it was still tasty nonetheless. As with the original, this beer suffered a bit in the body, it was smooth enough, but a bit thin in the mouthfeel, thinner than it seems it should be. Overall, call it a novelty if you will; I call it a tasty snack.
