This is probably my favorite Retribution. The chocolate and cherry flavors are spectacular. They blend deliciously with the bourbon flavor and the stout mouthfeel.

A - Pitch black, thick toffee lacing, swirl the glass and there's massive legs with this beer - looks thick and viscous!
S - Chocolate, bourbon, cherries, oak.
T - Cherries, oak tannin, bourbon/whiskey, chocolate. Boozy.
M - Big and full bodied, slick, sticky.
O - Big, boozy, and tasty.

Pours a very dark brown that settles into the glass a near-black with a thick, foamy tan head. Aroma is primarily caramel and chocolate, with hints of sugary bourbon and cherry. The taste encompasses those flavors as well; big caramel and bourbon up front, huge roastiness and chocolate towards the end, hints of tart cherry throughout, with a lingering caramel and cherry finish. Feel is velvety, smooth, rich, medium carbonation and a huge lingering aftertaste. This is a really nice variant on the original. The cherry does give somewhat of a medicinal quality from time to time, but is faint enough where it does not burden the overall beer.
