On tap at Rattle n Hum. NYC. IMO this doesn't know what it wants to be. The oak seems to overtake the coffee, which should be hard to do. The result is underwhelming. Nice try...no cigar.

Had it on tap at George Keeley bar in NYC. A bit confused about the ABV, as the beer menu screen indicates 10%, while this page lists it as 6.2%.
It pours a nearly pitch black color, the mocha head soon dissipating into a thin collar and some lacing.
Aroma is more milk chocolate like than coffee. Sweet, and with a touch of oatmeal.
The taste was at times cloyingly sweet. As with the nose, creamy and chocolate flavors abound. Some coffee flavor, but mild and lightly toasted. Full mouthfeel and a bit syrupy towards the end. There is a good deal of alcohol flavor that at times dominates. I found it a bit hard to get through.
Overall, not my cup of coffee stout; too sweet, boozy, and not enough of that bitter dark roast I like for a coffee stout.
