12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 5/10/2016. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, light honey/toast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit, light honey/toast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Good amount of herbal/spicy/piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky, and fairly bready/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a very nice German pilsner style. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Just a little too assertively bitter, but otherwise spot on for the style. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle (filled May 2016) served in a lager glass.
Slightly hazy golden body topped by a decent head that leaves patterned lacing clinging to the glass.
Medium-light body with medium+ carbonation and a fairly dry finish.
Overall: a clean, well crafted pils with a bit more medium malt than average.

Foundation Series: German Pilsner | DuClaw Brewing Company. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this brew's head is three fingers thick, with solid lacing, and a solid gold body.
I smell a perfect pilsner in that there is nothing here to be left undesired.
Tastes like a drier and more tart version of most pilsners out there.
The mouthfeel is medium-light with mild carbonation.
I'll rate Foundation Series: German Pilsner | DuClaw Brewing Company with an overall 4,25. Different, but not revolutionary.

Nothing negative to say about this brew is grainy, biscuit malt, and a slight hop finish which makes it easy to crush. Lower ABV makes for a better session beer. Seek it out if you like pilsners.

Pours clear, gold in color, with 1/2 inch head. Taste is grass, grain, and toasted malt. Slightly bitter, but well balanced and light. Tasty summer guzzler. Perfect lawnmower beer.
