Our first year-round 12oz can is here! It’s time for a mini vacation, and we want you to Enjoy Your Time Away. That’s why we created this deliciously smooth IPA packed full of vibrant hop flavors imparted through large hop additions late in the brew. Take a sip, and enjoy a little hard earned ‘me time’.

I was not kidding, during New DelMarVa (+ DC) DuClaw Sunday ( Week 778), when I said that my diving into my DuClaw backlog would be like diving into the depths of the Marianas Trench! I am going to be with them for a while to come, all in support of The CANQuest (tm). This is simply CANother in this ongoing madness.

Whoops! This needs a review, beginning with the Crack! of the vent. I beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass, resulting in the formation of just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention, slowly falling away to wisps while leaving a load of lacing in its wake. Color was a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose was redolent with grapefruit! Drool. Yum. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was really heavy on the grapefruit with an unbalanced bitterness that some (many?) people may not like. It didn't bother me, but if I am rating to style, I need to bear everything & everyone in mind while so doing. Finish remained dry, bitter & hoppy, just the way that I like it! Mmm. YMMV.

A: slight haze; bronze in color; 1+ finger light tan head that receded to a wispy cap; OK lacing;
S: apple with a bit of floral;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; mild bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: date on the can appears to be 4/7/19. not sure where it's been, but my hope is that this can was mishandled somewhere along the line; otherwise, is just a really bad beer;

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, some malts. Taste is well balanced caramel malts and citrus hops, somewhat mild bitterness. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Pours clear, gold in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is pilsner malt and grapefruit. Medium bodied and carbonation and bitter. Makes for a solid American IPA although I prefer others in the style.
