Full-bodied Russian imperial stout. The addition of maple accentuates the inherent flavors of this stout’s malt profile, and the addition of blueberry purée yields fruity notes adding complexity to the finish. Like old-fashioned blueberry pancakes and fresh maple syrup.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger and a half high tan head that flattened out, leaving a layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of blueberry syrup are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by moderate to strong flavors of blueberries—these are of the sweet variety and resemble the type of taste you get in blueberry flavored syrup at a pancake house. There are faint hints of dark malts in the nose.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I was expecting this beer to primarily taste like a stout given its jet black color but was surprised that this essentially smelled and tasted like a Fruit/Vegetable Beer. It's nice if you like blueberries but lacks any balance with the maple and underlying stout. The mouthfeel also seems very light considering its alcohol content.
