Pours opaque, jet black in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is pumpkin pie, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, white sugar, and dark chocolate. Heavy bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet and slightly roasty. Up there with ST Warlock as one of the best pumpkin stouts I have had. Super rich flavor. Still tastes like beer. Will get this again.

#DESSERTRULES
Canned 04/14/18, 10:58:08.
Pours a deep brown, almost pitch black with a mild viscosity. Some ivory head rises up but the chilled glass and temp prevent too much rising head or lace retention.
On the nose I’m getting that distinct malt profile, with balancing aromas of cinnamon and baker’s spice. There’s an aroma of pumpkin throughout, but it’s a bit difficult to pick out... as it warms I hope it opens up a bit more.
It’s a good stout, and although I’m getting the cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin coming together for that iconic “pumpkin spice” character, it’s not as accurate as I would have hoped. The spiced additions leave a bit of a heavy bitterness that lingers, but the softness of the pumpkin flavors actually works in its favor in this case. As it warms I’m getting more coffee and chocolate than anything, as opposed to the pumpkin spice flavors. In fact, it reminds me a lot of a tootsie roll.
Medium bodied, with a low but present carb and a sticky residual mouth-coating in the finish. Not quite the mouthfeel I’d want for the style, but it doesn’t take away from the experience too much.

This Bold Bodied Beer Pours very Dark. Almost like a Coffee Stout. The aroma almost smells like teriyaki sauce to me. The Flavor really resembled a Coffee Stout. It was Bold m, but Smooth. Probably will enjoy this beer again very soon. I didn’t really taste any pumpkin, but it was still good.

Black-bodied with a coupla fingers of dark, creamy foam... Nice dry, roasty, bittersweet chocolate malts with subtle pumpkin ale elements including cinnamon and nutmeg and other seasonal spices... Smooth and soft, mildly bitter with an equally mild sweetness... Superior to Warlock, to my tastes, but this is a different take on a pumpkin stout than that, leaning more toward a non-sweet, lightly vegetal, and drier product... I'm unable to recall other pumpkin stouts I've had, there've probably been two more, but to my recollection and per my palate preferences these days, this is the best pumpkin stout I've had... Can dating on the bottom is all smudged, but this is probably about a month or so old...
