Named after the Jane’s Addiction hit single “Caught Stealing,” this sour double IPA marks the third release in our sour double IPA series. Subtly sweet apricot, tart sour and IPA hop bite will tantalize.

Pours clear, orange gold in color with 1/2 inch head and plenty of sediment. Taste is big apricot and sour mix. There is a bit of a cider taste going on. Medium light bodied, high carbonation, bitter and sour. Interesting beer where the fruit really shines. Alcohol is really well hidden. Should have gotten a full four pack.

A: The beer is somewhat hazy light pale yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving some patches of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of apricots are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having stronger flavors of apricots along with bits of sweetness and hints of vanilla yogurt. There is only a light amount of sourness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly creamy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the aromas and flavors of apricots in this IPA. It was quite drinkable and had no traces of alcohol.

Not sure why it is called an IPA. Tart and fruity, with alcohol well hidden. Is it really 8.2ABV? Smells like guava rather than apricot.
