From a can purchased at Downtown Crown (Gaithersburg, MD). Poured into the glass a clear, golden yellow with fairly substantial carbonation. A decent head of foam. No lacing to speak of. Biscuity bread and a hint of hops, though not the usually expected (for the style) Halleartauer or Saaz varieties. This was evident in the taste, as behind the malt backbone, there was a very nice hint of pine/citrus hops flavor reminiscent of decidedly American pilsners. Unique, and yet deliciously familiar at the same time. The moderate ABV and the well balanced flavor rendered this beer extremely drinkable. "It goes down easily." I'm sad that it's a one-off. Maybe if our Caps win the cup again, we'll see another iteration of this wonderful, collaborative effort.
