16 oz can at the Saluda River Yacht Club.
Opaque black-brown body with a tall, frothy tan head that leaves sticky lacing.
Sweet and savory aroma with hints of maple, pecans, and pie crust.
The flavor carries Pecan pie notes with a touch too much vanilla.
Medium, smooth body with medium carbonation.

Pours black with some leakage to mahogany on the edges, all underneath a tan head. Char and dark chocolate on the nose, and a nutty aroma as well.
The char and dark chocolate notes are notable on the taste, but the nutty flavors are the star, as are the maple flavors. Really well done by Duclaw.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger high tan colored head that gradually died down, but left lots of specks of bubbles on the surface and down the sides of the glass and a collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of milk chocolate and pecans are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is a bit sweet, having flavors of pecans along with notes of milk chocolate.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This makes for a nice dessert beer given its sweetness and chocolatey flavors but it is also easy enough to drink on its own and isn't too heavy on the palate. I found it to be quite drinkable and enjoyable.
