Poured fron a 16 oz. can. Has a very dark chestnut color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of caramel, vanilla. Taste is as advertised, creme brulee, light alcohol is present, mild sweetness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall, if you are looking for a dessert beer, give this one a try.

Canned 3/11/19; drank 5/12/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge khaki head; strong lace.
Caramel, acorn & medium roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Caramel & trash water flavors up front; medium roast coffee bean & faint tree bark notes on the finish. No booze heat.
Something's off here; really sweet but with a rancid edge. I've had my last!

The can is 2 months old. I like the design of the can artwork. I'm getting a good whiff of coffee on the nose. On the taste the coffee is present with some chocolate lingering in the background along with some vanilla sweetness in the finish, this is quite tasty. The 8.5% abv is well hidden I just get a slight alcohol taste on the finish. I have not had creme brulee before but if this is what it taste like then I ought to give the dessert a try. The body is medium. Cheers! A-

A: The beer is very dark brown when viewed from afar; when held up to a bright light traces of reddish brown are visible near the edges of the glass. It poured with a short white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and large, wispy patches of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate and coffee are present in the nose along with notes of burnt sugar.
T: The taste follows the smell and has chocolatey flavors with notes of brown sugar and lactose along with hints of coffee beans.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the taste of this beer as it embodied the custard and burnt sugar flavors of a crème brûlée.

5 oz pour on tap. Pretty much as advertised: an imperial brown ale that is super sweet. Tons of vanilla and caramel flavor with a shot of espresso. It would be tough to drink a full 16 oz of this.

Canned 03/12/19, 10:01:27 #DESSERTRULES.
Pours a dark brown, opaque with a murky hue and ivory foam that settles into heavy patterns atop the body of the beer.
Lots of vanilla on the nose, burnt sugar undertones.. initially I wasn’t too sure, but as it warms it really nailed the creme brûlée concept; very reminiscent of a French Vanilla coffee creamer. Chocolatey hints emerge as well, serving as a nice balance.
Vanilla flavors emerge again, but this time accompanied by bitter, roasty coffee notes. Chocolate is subtle but present, with caramel working its influence as well, especially as it warms.
Fairly thin but smooth body. Sticky, with mild mouth coating and a light bitterness that lingers in its wake.

Canned on 3/12/19. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a dark brown with a light khaki head that fades leaving decent retention and okay lacing. The aromas have lots of vanilla leading the way. There's alot of caramel along with some hints of cocoa. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More vanilla leading the way. Lots of burnt brown sugar. More caramel along with some hints of toffee. Some chocolate and cocoa. Some coffee in the mix. It's slightly bitter and not as sweet as you might expect. Malts do their thing. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the fuller side of medium-bodied or the lighter side of full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp and ultimately smooth.
This is a pretty nice brew. The vanilla shines and is very enjoyable despite possibly being "artificial" (I don't know if it is or not), but it works either way. It's a flavorful brown ale that has alot going on for the style. It's enjoyable stuff. Well done. I like it.
