Took forever and a day to find this one in the database. Thanks a lot, Beer Advocate. This tends to be a common issue even with specifics.
12 oz can, no legible date.
Into Southern Grist Mini Willie Beecher.
Pours a very dark gold, hazy/foggy, with a really tall creamy head of 3 fingers, leaving tons of lace on the glass, real evidence of the dry hopping.
Aroma of toilet mint, dirty chocolate coconut, milk or cream, and a bit of citrus zest.
Flavor brings bread and malt, coconut cream/milk, slight lime zest, a hint of tangy meringue, and a bit of grass. It's not too sour, not too sweet, seems to hit the right notes. Moderately pleasant, not mindblowing.
Feel has light carbonation, a bit of medium weight heft in the middle, some smoothness, and ends light and airy. No alcohol heat. Slight clinging starches. You'll be as astonished as I was when I re-read the label and saw "7.1%". Easily the smoothest 7% beer I've ever had.
Overall, a pretty decent take on the key lime pie sour, but not incredible or anything. I'm glad I got one to try, it's enjoyable and smooth. You won't write home about it though.
Price paid : $3.25 / can
Would buy again : nah

Appearance:
A soft, hazy, bee-pollen yellow with little groups of bubbles clinging to the glass. A skinny lather of soapy white comes and goes in a blink. Zero lacing.
Bouquet:
A debonair pair of freshly squeezed lime and sugar crystals. Needs some air time before you can really detect the aroma.
Feel:
A crisp, light bodied ale with mini dust devils of delicate bubbles. Lime and cream linger until ushered out by mild sours and dry hops. Sessionable and incontestably refreshing, which, at 7.1%, makes this ale quite dangerous.
Taste:
Leads with smooth, candied lime under a creamy dollop of air-whipped meringue. The aftertaste guards a secret treasure of buttery, crumbly, graham cracker pie crust and finishes with a lightly hopped, tart dryness. Tastes astonishingly like authentic key lime pie. Not too sweet, not too tart, beautifully balanced.
Special Note:
Unlike most beer with a complex flavor profile: the colder, the better.

Well shit this beer is over 9 months old! Almost what one would say is "IPA death" especially since its an experimental! Ow well into a pint glass!
A - Well holy shit I can smell limeaid! Super strong lime zest with nothing to hide that pure rind aroma as it settles more of a lemon aid smell.
T - Wow I can't hate this its so pure! So sweet lemon aid like hops balancing with it's cracker malt profile its the most perfect lime pie I can imagine!
M - Crisp sour and balanced wow!
Overall I doubt this will be brewed again but would love to drink this again! Tasty IPA with low ABV! Would love to have a sixer

L: Golden, little head.
S: Malt driven lime ale. No notable hop profile.
T: Sour, sour, and sweet. Brings an actual key lime pie to the imagination. The lime is very tart, but not 100% max, as it's balanced by milky creamy coconut.
F: There was an ingredient (lactose?) preventing me from finishing the glass. Carbonation would have been a nice complement to the lime as well.
O: I liked DuClaws Lemon Drops more. It's not bad, but sweet isn't my go-to flavor. Sour Me This Lime, when?

This beer was much better than I originally expected. Most of the lactose beers I do not care for, however this one is great. Heavy graham cracker flavor at first, followed by coconut and heavy lime flavors. Very easy to drink IPA, and a delicious one at that.

From the bottom of the can: "#CBCRB0 7/2/19 07:45:19"
Appearance: The beer is a hazy gold with a lot of tiny solids. The head is short and white; very short lived. No lacing.
Aroma: The beer smells a bit like candied orange peel and lime.
Taste: It has a tart lime opening with a bit of lemon zest flavor and a ton more lime. It tastes a lot like a limeade.
Mouthfeel: The beer is tart and light-bodied with very little carbonation. Lifeless.
Overall: It's a nice tart beer that tastes like a limeade so if that's what you're looking for then this is a good beer to pick. It lacks any IPA flavor or aroma despite the "TART IPA" claim on the can. It would be a good beer for a picnic and it hides its alcohol well. It's worth drinking again if I'm looking for a cocktail or mixed drink but it leaves me wanting more as a beer.

This is pretty solid as a sour/fruited IPA. I am not usually a DuClaw fan but I have to give them credit on this one. You can tell it's an IPA but somehow it works as a key lime pie sour - lots of lime and hints of graham cracker.
