To make this velvety-smooth double IPA, we blend in steel-cut oats that have been soaked and strained into rich, creamy oat milk. That, along with the addition of even more oats, gives Oatshake its hazy, pillowy mouthfeel while allowing hop flavors & aromas to shine through.

Can dated 1/9/20 (kinda long in the tooth for an IPA) into pint glass. Pours a hazy light amber with a brief head. No lacing to speak of. Initial impression is citrus (grapefruit, orange, and lemon), with a noticeable dankness. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft, but falls short of pillow-y. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Finish is fairly smooth but morphs to bitter. Not awful but not something I'd revisit.

Frankly ...been looking for a local oat beer like Other Half’s DDH Oat Cream Series.
This is is not it. But still found it an easy sipper.

A - Hazy orange body, but largely transparent, with a short white head that fades to a thin cap, and small bubble lacing.
S - Soft citrus and bread malt notes, a bit of resin.
T - Opens citrus forward, middle brings grains, oatmeal hints, and a finish of moderate bitterness.
M - Prickly carbonation in the open, a slick texture from the oat, and a dry finish. The ABV is well hidden and integrated.
O - This is a decent IIPA. The oats soften the body, and are a reasonable addition. Very good.

Canned 1/20/20 from Craft Brewed in Nashville, TN.
Hazy but not juicy or murky blonde color with a tall ridiculously tall creamy head of 3 fingers in my Prairie Rastal glass (it's only about 4 fingers tall to begin with). Lots of lace destroying the glass.
Aromas of lemon and grapefruit, very slight tangerine or orange pith, some grain both raw and moist/moldy. From the can I get more sharp orange and grapefruit tones.
Flavor brings tea first and foremost, followed by some dank citrus pith - a mixture of grapefruit, lemon, and tangerine; followed by more tea, moldy bread, some grass, and a finish of dank lemon resin. An overwhelming wave of tea and moldy bread rests on the palate.
Feel is acidic but not really juicy - just biting, with some intense resins.
Overall, this was a major disappointment. I expected some sort of New England IPA and I got something that tastes like mold and wet bread and slight spoilage at only 3 weeks. I'm so glad I didn't buy a 4 pack, but I still have one more can left to choke through. Don't buy this one.
Edit : scores adjusted. I had the second can 3 weeks later which was noticeably better. Not great, but not terrible. Still would not repeat.
