Pale orange with a slight haze, 4 fingers of sea foam like beige head.

Smells like malt and wood.

Tastes like malt and cardboard.

Light body with moderate carbonation.

I got this in Summerville SC, and am drinking it in Redding, CA, July 22, 2020.

Poured into a glass, its a cloudy, pale gold with a light head and some mild sediment. It smells of light citrus, with a bit of acidity, and the woody oak notes do creep out if you're paying attention. It's very mildly sweet and and a bit tart. Typically I despise a fruity beer, but this was canned 100 days ago so I grabbed it on sale to try it out. The juniper is very subtle, reminds me of a very light raspberry without feeling like a dessert. Its not for me but I'm surprised and a bit impressed.

"Brewed with our friends at Wolfs Ridge out of Columbus, Ohio 'Bygone snowfall' ages crisp and clean American craft lager on oak chips with juniper berries imparting resinous pine and woody oak notes for an elevated take on a simple classic."

DuClaw is coming out with a ton of new beers all the time and surprisingly (to me) they're pretty decent more often than not. This beer is the exception. It probably shouldn't have been made, much less released. A weird metallic off-note ruins the somewhat interesting but muted juniper and oak flavors. Actually, I'm not getting any oak at all. Fail.
