Not the color you would expect but tastes like a sweet tart! Super good! Get both strawberry and grape flavors with a high carbonated slightly sour but more on the sweet and tart side. Could be more sour however, overall the beer was very good and flavorful.

Have to agree with the reviewer below it doesn't really have much grape flavor but versing with strawberry apple and slight hint of pear. Good sourness and easy finish not that I hate this beer but it is quite good!

Typicallyt no a huge fan of the sour beers/ales that have strong additive flavors so the "Strawberry Grape" moniker made me leery. To my surprise this was misplaced as the flavors are not too upfront. The pour is richly golden coppered and with a small bit of effervescent bubble. The nose is redolent of berry a a whiff of sweetness belying the flavor profile. The candied fruit of orchards: apple & pear mix with the strawberry but with no hints of grape to be found. The fruit is complimented by the main take away - nice well rounded sourness. Finishes clean and pleasant on the palate.

They sure don't make sour ale like they used to. Or maybe they do! Mimicking the taste of childhood hard candy, that was made popular by candy nerds, the classic flavor combination of strawberry and grape come back to tease the eight-year old that lives inside each of us.
Pouring a rather lackluster hazy gold, Sour Me (the Strawberry Grape version) pours to a bubbly and spirited appearance while floating a creamy honeycomb froth. As its tantalizing scent of grape and berry swoon the nose, so does an undercurrent of vinous sourness. A gentle malt profile is candied with taffy, hard candy and light cream to provide the perfect backdrop for the fruit flavors.
With the sourness of the ale taking center stage, its underlying sourness seems of crabapple, sour grape, white wine, lime, lemon and passionfruit. Soon after, its the overwhelming and whimsical taste of grape candy that comes across slightly bubblegum-like. As the strawberry flavors seem to lag behind, the ale dives into a slightly spicy sourness that evades much of its sugars in the process. What's left is a hint of cream to support the fruit additions.
Medium light in body, the more "kettle sour" type of ale is a clean and lactic platform for these nerdy candy flavors as it portrays the perfect flavors up front but then favors the sourness, drinkability, refreshment and dryness in the finish; trailing into a medium short aftertaste of fruity hard candy again.
