Pours a nice snowcap-tinged head, with plenty of grain in the aroma. A bit sweet, even for an NEIPA- one that will complement many foods, especially salty ones. TBH- the hops are way down in the mix, especially for a 4-hop brew. However, I can see this as a go-to, with a hand-full of my sesame sticks, watching the basketball games on TV. Grab a four-pack without reservation!

I like it because it is different. Not typical IPA, taste is fruit, malt, bread, a little watery on the aftertaste or I would rate higher.

Now, at least, there's some aroma. With the cracking open of a pint can, already hops, malt and yeast have been released into the air. Once poured into a clear Imperial pint glass, it's determined that this has a beautiful golden amber color, both bright and dense. The head is limited, but enduring and almost pure white. Now, with the tasting, things begin to deteriorate. The body, although completely in line with offering a mild sweetness, is too thin to go unnoticed. There's also very little hoppiness to extoll. Basically, everything fits into the mediocre category of ratings, other than appearance and smell. That's not enough to make this a memorable beer experience.

Pours amber in color with white head and lacing that almost paints the glass. Nose is very slight, almost not existent. Taste is citrusy of course but also soft and sweet. Good beer!

In tribute to what's in the running for the most annoying song of all time, DuClaw puts out a rather good IPA. Brewed in the New England style, stronger than the usual prescribed IPA but a tad shy of imperial status, the hazy ale does a much better job celebrating the Mosiac, Sabro, Lotus and Azacca hops that give the tastebuds a real reason to do a two-step.
Four Hops pours with the expected turbid and burnish gold, the well capped ale greets the nose with a tropical leading fruit profile along with softer perfumes of citrus, stone fruit, herb and cream. Its initial taste is creamy and sweet with a plush malt flavor that shares the character of shortbread, light honey, a hint of caramel and cereal.
Once the hops gain control of the middle palate, the beer finds its stride. With the cereal grains relaxing on the tongue, the brightness of orange, mango, apricot, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lime, papaya and pawpaw all sharing equal duty in taste, the plump fruit flavors stew in an even keel melange. With a mild mannered bitterness of spruce, cedar, black tea, sassafras, geranium, fresh grasses and hemp, the final flavors also carry a hint of blackcurrant and peppery hops.
Medium bodied and with an overall fruity and bitter profile, the persistence of grains linger deep into the session and balance the bitterness in a smooth hop balance and a medium long aftertaste of muddled fruit peels and botanical grasses. With a light and gin-like spice, the beer is a hoppy and juicy session that starts to lose its hierarchy in individual hops but is quite nice overall.
