16 oz can split with my wife, picked up as part of a mix-6 at Wegmans. Pours yellow/orange with a fluffy head that quickly dissipates. Aroma and flavor feature boozy citrus, white wine, and not much else. Not very beer-like, and not nearly as refreshing or tasty as an actual mimosa either. The only real positive is that I enjoyed it more as I kept drinking, although my wife said the opposite. Regardless, not something I'll be buying again.

Ol' lady picked these up over the summer when she was flyin' round that way.

Pours a hazy yellow orange with an appearance similar to a mimosa aside from the thin ring of white heat 1/6". Its a hazy mimosa but no pulp. The aroma has a herbal vodka, gin, citrus thing going for it. The alcohol was most noticeable here. Hops are there but not aromatic.

Taste takes on a sweet orange and tangerine mixture but without the alcohol gunking up the mouth feel. Pleasantly surprised at this point, when I seen that 9%+ abv I was all doubtful, but they pulled it off in terms of making it drinkable. Has that flaked wheat/oats thing going for it, different to see it done up not for a hazy ipa. Relatively thin light malt body relative to everything else. At the end of the day, I remain impressed that they set out to make a mimosa inspired beer, and it drinks like a mimosa inspired beer. The acidity isn't terrible and seems to owe more to the citrus puree than fermentation or hops.

Golden with a 1/4" white head, which instantly fades. Minimal lacing.

Aroma is tart orange, sour grapes.

Taste follows nose: Tart orange, sour grapes.

Medium body, light carbonation. Dry, tart finish.

Very nice sour. The Chardonnay added a nice touch to it.

With the crack of a pint can being opened comes a big whiff of orange aroma, with added unknowns. The contents now poured into a clear glass Imperial pint mug are now exposed. The color is a light and bright orange, sort of the color of Tang, for those that remember. Abundantly carbonated, but there isn't any head, nor glass lacing. Tangerine becomes more readily identifiable above the pint glass. Despite the absence of glass lacing, this does have some body. It's moderately tart and sour, but initially there is some fruity sweetness. This isn't too far off of the taste it attempts to mimick. There is that dry sourness that can be part of a good champagne, no doubt because chardonnay grape juice is included. This brew is smooth whilst drinking, then sour and tart at the finish. Even the ABV is compatible with many Champagnes. Definitely worth trying if you're interested in what this successfully attempts to capture, but it will be among the furthest things from the norm that are still considered beers.

Showering us with tangerine, sparkling white wine and racy acidity, DuClaw Brewing rains down on the senses with a tantalizingly tart ale that is as much of mimosa as it is of ale. You could easily say that they are "souring us" instead.

Glowing brightly behind a fine translucent lemony gold hue, Sour Me Mimosa casts a medium haze below a frothy, spritzy white crown of foam. As its scent rolls off the rim, the senses are stricken with a brisk citrus, orchard and cidery scent that's backed with white wine and a mild briny must. Gentle with sweetness, the beer's brisk malt profile gives a slightly candied taste of fruit rollup, light sourdough and confectioner's sweetness.

As the sweetness fades quickly on the middle palate, the malts leave the bold tangerine additions to carry the flavor profile. With hints of mango, peach, apple, lime and lemon following closely behind, the beer rises with an acidic, peppery punch with an acute sense of pure lactic acid. Sour in its late taste, the balance is a show of pepper, balsa and dry burlap close out the session crisp and concise.

Medium light in body, the mimosa flavored ale finishes with a bold sense of refreshment, drinkability and leaving the palate clean and dry. Its a tasty sour ale where its acid level seems a bit forced and seemingly not completely via fermentation.
