We are celebrating #25yearsofbeers at DuClaw! As natural risk-takers, we’ve created dozens of memorable beers over the years. But there was always one limited release that had people asking for it year after year, even long after it was retired in 2015. Meet: Venom. We kicked up the hop profile to make this a classic American IPA, staying true to its best qualities like notes of refreshing, crisp grapefruit and pine. A perfect IPA to sip your teeth into!

Smell: It has aromas of stone fruit with citrus. There are some grainy sweet elements as well.
Taste: The flavors are strong with stone fruit and tea. There is a low level of caramel and some pine as well.
Feel: It has a medium full body with a nice bitter aftertaste.
Overall, a nice hop profile with a good malt backbone.

16 ounce can - $4.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a golden-amber body, fairly clear with a good-sized, off-white head. Coating lace.
Smell: Toasted biscuit with a thin, crisp veneer of implied sweetness. Nicely aromatic, with dauntless, classic tones of good ol' fashioned citrus fruits and pine.
Taste: Toasty, biscuity maltiness stirred with a moderate caramelized sweetness. Then, a nostalgically flavorful eruption of pulpy citrus, sap-sticky pine, woodsy spices, dehydrated herb and apricot glaze. Moderate bitterness. Gently drying, still just a tad toasty on the smooth finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: An altogether tasty treat and pleasant escape from the latest gloopy hazy-whatever.
