Pours murky, gold in color with one half inch head. Taste is peanut butter, roasted malt and light vanilla. Medium light body, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet and roasty. The problem with this is and other variants isthat the variants is not strong. The base beer is still delicious but it is quite the gimmick to add such a small amount of adjunct. This is not just a DuClaw problem...but the base is great

Pours a hazy gold. Thick foam. Sweet aroma. Chocolate peanut butter body. Slightly sweet finish. Flavors are not overly pronounced. Solid beer although I'm suspicious of stouts that aren't dark.

Purely for research purposes, two twelve ounce cans have had their contents emptied into a clear glass liter mug. It looks like an ordinary ale, with its bright copper-amber color, moderate cloudiness and modest just-off-white head. But, it doesn't smell like an ordinary ale. Not much of the coffee inclusion makes it to the nose. There's much more chocolate and peanut butter to sense than just hops and malt. The only thing those last two characteristics do is add a little funkiness. But, there is a good hop bite to finish the taste. The chocolate doesn't hit the tongue as hard as the peanut taste does, nor does it make this overly sweet. The combination of the roasted barley malt, coffee and the hops brings out the earthy bitterness that's behind well roasted peanuts. This isn't an overly sweet desert beer. It's body, a little thin and bite are more like a porter, but that's a fine line. Overall, this is a tastefully flavored stout that is first off, a stout. Maybe its best described as a flavored coffee stout. In fact, there's less additional flavoring than could be expected from its label. It probably won't amaze anyone by tasting exactly like white chocolate and peanut butter, but that doesn’t hurt how it should be rated. Nor should its lack of glass lacing. Subtlety can be a plus and here's proof.

Well this is my 900th Review.....Lets see what we have here!
A- Pours a dark golden color, and it is most definitely on the other side of hazy....minimal clarity but enough to view the columns of carbonation rising to the top, which they do in fairly aggressive fashion. The head is a light caramel/eggshell colour, and while it does start out thick and bubbly, it does dissipate rather fast, however, I find myself that the retention level is solid, settling into a full half finger of creamy froth. There is some lacing here too, but it it underwhelming, sliding lazily back into the liquid. Overall this has a very decent look to it.
S- Large quantities of dry roasted peanut butter waft into the nasal cavity, with dry peanut crush, milky and vanilla laced white chocolate sweetness, sweet cream, vanilla bean truffle and blonde roast coffee all make of a delicious dessert like aroma. The finish has some ever so subtle charred Earth, but yeah, rich unsweetened cocoa powder becomes dominant again the more I smell this one. Very nice!
T- Well, the flavors are good in this department, however, the aromas led me to believe that this would be more robust. I definitely pick up more concentrated flavors of light/medium roast coffee, blended with fresh cream and modest amounts of sugar/lactose. The peanut butter character is there, in more of a natural foods kind of way, which really isn't that bad in my opinion. Milky white chocolate modesty and vanilla extract finish off the dessert likeness on the palate, and the finish, to my surprise, shows off some good hop bitterness alongside some astringent charred Earthy notes, that linger on the palate and offer a black coffee tail that picks back up with the next taste.
M/O- I find this to be medium bodied, with light bodied tendencies at times. The carbonation is plentiful, zesty, and keeps all the sweetness in check I think....overall I think this is a fine dessert beer that would be a nice substitute for a Reese PB cup.....not my favorite PB Stout, albeit it is a white Stout so I wasn't exactly expecting thick and robust.....I think it deserves a better overall score than it has, and its something I would have and enjoy again! Cheers to #900!

Poured a minimal head and lace from a golden semi-clear body. The aroma is peanut butter but I don't really get chocolate. Nice balance between sweet while chocolate and peanut butter underneath a nutty dryness on the finish.

12 oz can poured into a snifter. Pours a light tan/peanut buttery color with a medium head. Aroma and flavor feature burnt peanut butter, malt, and not much else. Not worth drinking or very good at all.

12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours a deep golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a thin film on top
S- smells of roasted peanuts, vanilla, light roast coffee, cocoa and light char. The peanut really comes through
T- creamy peanut butter up front is quickly followed by notes of milk sugars that give flavors of vanilla cream. Mid-palate gives light notes of milk chocolate and light roast coffee. The finish gives more peanut and vanilla
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel turns slightly creamy into the finish

Lots of peanut butter flavor with some chocolate not as good as sweet baby Jesus because it doesn’t have the roasted malt to back up with flavor and make it as well rounded. Definitely a white stout hit on the head hence the 4.25 rating but overall as a beer it would be a 4/5.

From the bottom of the can: "SWIRL-26-020722 CANNED ON 03/09/22"
Appearance: The body is very hard to see through because it is very hazy and has an opalescence, but the body is very clean when it comes to solids. It has a deep gold color. It has a large off-white head that is very fluffy and it drops down a bit but still maintains. It has some lacing. It looks really good.
Aroma: It smells like peanut butter candy.
Taste: Up front there is some peanut butter candy flavor. Towards the middle there is some toasted notes of burnt herbs. There is a bit of aspirin flavor. Not much at the back of the palate or in the aftertaste other than more bitterness. There is some mint that does show up in the aftertaste though.
Mouthfeel: It is very bitter and it comes across as bitter herbs and medicine. The body feels on the upper edge of light.
Overall: The beer has too much bitterness and it has an odd aspirin flavor. Peanut butter flavor does come through but it starts to get lost under the bitterness if you don't use a palate cleanser. The can says "Chocolate Peanut Butter White Stout" and that it is a "STOUT WITH VANILLA, LACTOSE, COFFEE, & NATURAL FLAVORS." None of these flavors come through aside from the peanut butter. As a whole it isn't very good and I wouldn't recommend it.

Fun, festive and coming at the tastebuds like soft serve ice cream, DuClaw takes their peanut butter chocolate porter to the bright side.
Calling its a "white" stout, Sweet Baby Swirl pours rather hazy gold and with a frothy white crown. As the scent of chocolate, vanilla, light coffee and nuttiness swirl about the nose, the flavors kick off with vanilla cream, chocolate and a background of sweet nuttiness.
As the flavors unfold on the middle palate, the sweetness simmers and stews with honey, lighter caramel and vanilla cream to suggest something of spongecake. An eventual turn to bitterness happens quickly and sharply on the finish, attempting to resonate like coffee-types of bitterness in finish, but the hops are disconnected and the more stout-like character falls just short .
Medium-full for any sort of stout, the beer tastes much more like a chocolate ale with a background of pecan and cashew. the hops should shift to a more British-style varieties and its amount cut in half in order to let the more peanut buttercup flavors to be more convincing.

Hard to wrap my head around this one. Smells like chocolate with hints of peanut butter. Tastes like a chocolate stout with hints of peanut butter and coffee at the end. Looks like an ale, beautiful amber color. Mouthfeel is medium and smooth, a unique beer- I like it!
