From 06/09/12 notes. Had on cask at Meridian Pint for their "Drink Local" event. Not sure of the ABV but the normal DNF is 7.6% ABV. One of the best beers there.
a - Pours a dark brown, almost black color, with one inch of light tan head and no carbonation evident.
s - Smells of bourbon, sweet raspberries, chocolate, roasted malts, light wood, light vanilla, caramel, sticky sweet dark fruits. Awesome nose; an amazing mix of bourbon/chocolate/raspberry.
t - Tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, raspberries, sweet dark fruits, bourbon, light oak, vanilla, cream. More chocolate and less bourbon but still really good.
m - Light to medium body and no carbonation, super smooth and creamy. Very, very easy to drink.
o - Overall I thought this was an awesome beer; up there with Oliver's BA James Brown as my favorite of the event. All the flavors work well together; would love to have this one again.
