Pleasantly drinkable pale ale. Picked up a 22 oz bottle at Total Wine in Spokane. Dark Amber with aa off white head. Easy drinking beer that would be great for watching a ball game.

Bottle picked up at Whole Foods... Poured into my little CC goblet.. Pale orange with a sudsy white head... light citrus hoppines with some background floral hops compliment an earthy pale malt presence.. Dry toast and pithy bitterness on the finish... Very drinkable.. Nice use of rye.. Happy it is a lower ABV.

Bottle picked up at a Safeway in Washington. Pours out a clear amber with medium sized foamy head. Rye dominates the aroma, musty, funky sour smell. Taste brings more rye, with a little honey sweetness. It all finishes up with a fair amount of hop bitterness, sharp and dry.

Handsome dark amber color with a thick-textured foam that sticks to the Stella Artois goblet. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Chuck’s Market in Seattle. No label date; I wondered if this might be a year old, but I see the brew is currently on tap at Laurelwood.
The rye flavor is fairly subtle, but the first sip tells you there is something different about this beer. Lightly bitter and grainy taste with a warm malty glow. A mineral finish and just a faint sourish note. Quite drinkable with a spicy touch.

On tap into a nonic at the Laurelwood bar in PDX.
A-The beer is brassy golden in color with a light haze that obscures my view through the glass. The pour arrives with a finger of dense, white head. Retention is pretty good at nearly two minutes. There is a bubble or two floating up.
S-The aroma is slightly sharp with a bit of spice, lemon, straw, toast and biscuit. It is crisp but moderately hoppy and intriguing. Not half bad.
T-The taste, like the smell, has a little hoppy kick to it with some lemongrass, a hint of rye, straw, and some toasted bread underneath. Compared to the smell, the flavor here is a bit thin, but it drinks well and is holding up to the hummus and pita squares just fine.
M-The feel is light to medium in body with a fine, tingly carbonation.
O-This is a perfectly serviceable pale ale. It doesn't blow you away with hops or weird additions, but it provides enough hoppy, rye spice to keep it from being boring. This would be a great session beer or game day brew in the event you don't want to end up under the table after two pints of a 13% RIS or have your palate destroyed by some hop-bomb IIPA.
