L: has a nice amber look and very low on froth. Might say a good copper color to it.
s: can clearly smell malt and caramels. Floral smells cut also through. Citrus is pushing through.
T: very big on malt flavor with a hint of caramel. Has kick on the tongue. Taste of yeast is just hinting in the background.
F: You can clearly feel the the 7.3% alcohol hit with strong malt flavors. A bit over the top for me on the malt flavors. I can see people liking this beer who enjoy to "feel" a beer.

This is one of the best red ales I've had the pleasure to consume. It hits the hop / malt balance perfectly. Even at 70 ibu's it isn't overly hopped, and possesses a genuine malt background base. 7% Abv without seeming to 'alcoholed'. First one I've had - and I'll drink this gem again.

Clear coppery color with plenty of foam in the Kasteel chalice, just for fun. Spritzy on the tongue. roasted malt and lots of fruit. Some caramel and a hot, tangy taste.
Just the right sweetness with a huge malt flavor. Moderate bitterness and a funky backbeat. This is the Big Red. Really quite pleasant and drinkable. The higher alcohol works nicely here. The better kind of Red/Amber brew, and tastes stronger than the ABV.

Clear red with some hop and yeast floaters. Great classic piney IPA aroma. Sweet and malty complimented with citrus and pine bitterness but slightly harsh and dry feel. Overall, pretty good IRA. Cheers!

True to name, it pours a nice reddish amber color with fluffy white head of about 2 fingers. Nose is very floral and piney with the hops shining through very strongly. Didn't get much malt, just a very aromatic ipa smell. Taste starts with a little hunt of malt amd sweetness before being blasted with pine, citrus and bitter. Has a smooth bitterness up front that quickly builds. Seems like a centennial or maybe cascade pine and grapefruit type bittering. Leaves a mild sweetness after the hop fades away. Overall nice IRA that drinks very close to an big NW IPA thanks to the agrees I've hop bill.
