Had this ontap today, served only at their 51st NE Sandy location.
- Nice clear caramel color... fizzy and fluffy white head... lots of lacing... just a picture perfect ale.
- Huge fresh hop nose... this hop is new to me, and I am sure it must play a large roll in many of Laurelwoods other beers... this hop seems to have it all... zesty and fruity spice... along with a fantastic pine touch.... and super bitterness which is just fantastic. If this brew is just one hop... than the hop alone is like a well balanced blend of many.... nice basic caramel malt touch too which isn't too sweet.
- Taste is much the same as the scent.... slightly sweet caramel malt.... light biscuit... and zesty oily fresh hops! Perfectly bitter.
- Sticky, resinous.. and slightly chewy as it should be....
- Overall a fantastic, and somewhat strong Fresh Hop Ale... one to look out for, and be careful with!
