Look: Rich amber in color with a nice-looking off-white head that builds and settles to a lid, coating the glass with lacing as it does
Aroma: Watermelon – both the white and red flesh, wafts of sweet rose, citrus blossoms, light perfume, and a little lemon-lime
Taste: Whoa. The watermelon carries over and leads the charge on the taste, hitting hard and quickly settling and developing. Floral notes and sweet rose mingle and develop in the middle before light lemon-lime, rose, and watermelon close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and light but felt dryness on the finish
Overall: This is awesome stuff. I love Centennials as a wet hop addition in beer and outside of one year, I had never scored these folks’ FH Workhorse IPA (w/Cents) so when I saw this and that Centennials were in it, I grabbed it and thanked myself later. The elusive watermelon-esque component is on full display throughout along with the usual (for me) sweet rose/lychee/Gewurtz grapes and floral notes and it all comes together so very nicely. Highly recommended
