From a bottle, pours as a light yellow almost a straw with a thin white quickly dispersing head. Aroma of bread and hops. Taste is crisp, balanced, and simple like a German Pilsner. Bready hops with a sweet malt in the background and plentiful carbonation. Really pleasant; could drink all night. But kinda just like a really solid family sedan; nothing special.

12 oz. bottle poured into a nonic style pint glass.
A pale straw body that is almost clear with some visible sediment is topped with a half inch of white foamy head. Only a weak aroma of wheat makes up the disappointing nose. The taste is crisp, dry and mostly malty wIth flavors of wheat, orange and minimal hop bitterness. Thin bodied with medium high carbonation there is a touch of astringency.

Had a couple of these on draft during lunch at an Ashburn pizza joint today. It was served in a tumbler with nearly no head and very little carbonation. The taste was clean with a faint trace of hops. Slightly watery but a nice dry finish.
The previous reviews were based on bottled product so I'll probably buy a 6'er for comparison.

let me first say holy carbonation Batman! This beer have a ridiculous amount of carbonation as I find out quickly when I start to pour. I get only about an inch of beer in my glass and 3 inches of head. When I get it to calm down I get the at the scribe Golden ale body and tons of that fluffy Rocky light tan head. The nose is very crisp and slightly spicy with a attractive hop background . The taste is actually quite good for a golden aleis Chris has a decent hop characteristic to it and has a nice spice balance that is not overwhelming. It is very drinkable and really solid for the style. Not a beer that will knock your socks off but a good representation in one then I would recommend for someone looking for a good almost sessiomable golden ale.

From a 12 oz bottle.
Fine looking white head with limited retention over a pale golden body.
Weak aroma with a stronger and more hoppy flavor. Leaves little flavor except a mild and earthy bitterness.

very well balanced beer. Easy to drink and session able. golden color with a tight head, good retention and lacing. It has a pilsner like quenching mouthfeel. Good dry finish with a nice lingering hop aftertaste but not overpowering. I will be putting this in my rotation this summer!
