An all-powerful combination of bright pale ale ad fresh spruce tips come together for a beer that packs pine in every pint. Best enjoyed on crisp days and chilly nights, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

16oz can, Duvel tulip, canned 11/14/25 in memory of SPC Chad Coleman. Say their names.
This is a golden brew with what appears to be a little chill hazing and a finger of white head.
Christmas tree lot, minty-ness hovering, light malt. The aroma strength is light.
Bready welcoming malt gives way to what is clearly spruce and what MrOH below hits on the head by describing it as “a cross between pine and wintergreen with a bit of citrus zest”. I will only add that there’s also a vegetal note that separates the flavor from piney hops, otherwise I couldn’t do better than that.
I think the moderate feel and carbonation are calibrated just right and a lingering bitterness and sappiness are satisfying.
I could almost do with more spruce, but I tend to like strong flavors, though I am walking away satisfied.

From the pint can, it pours a hazy amber color with a very nice white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets forest scents, overall pleasant. The mouth follows with a pleasant woodsy taste with a light lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium

Golden with a bit of chill haze, dense but thin white head, great retention, splotchy lace
Sharp citrus and evergreen aroma. I know it's spruce, but to better describe the flavor of spruce, it's like a cross between pine and wintergreen with a bit of citrus zest.
Mellow malt underneath a pretty saturated spruce flavor.
Fluffy mouthfeel, medium body, appropriate carbonation
Haven't had a spruce beer in a while, but this is a good one
