Leave it to Flying Dog to give the best, most unique experience of the weekend. This one is different from anything any other.
IT looks somewhat typical of and AIPA, but more yellow than a typical double. I looks a little thicker than normal, but only a little, and like I said, the color is light. The aroma is moderate in strength and unusual. It's hoppy and malty smelling, but very nicely so. There is nothing dank or rude about the smell, and it is very appealing.
The taste is quite bitter, but without the piney fresh hop bomb it seems has been coming at me from all sides this weekend. It sits on the tongue pretty malty too. It's thick and boozy without tasting boozy. I wish I had two, but I'm sure I would regret it in the morning.
