12 ounce bottle, best before 05/04/17. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark brown color with a ruby red tinge, and also has about an inch light tan head that stayed around for a little while. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and sweet, the brew smells mostly like caramel along with some maple, vanilla, sea salt and dark breadiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but I don't think it's quite as sweet as it smells. There's caramel, vanilla, nutty, sea salt, dark bread and maple flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was a good brown ale, definitely worth a try if you've never had it before. $2.59 for a single bottle.

pours a deep, rich mahogany with a caramel colored head.
malt, rasin, plumb, caramel, and salt in the nose.
big rich malt flavor rounded by salted caramel notes with pockets of raisin and plumb. Finishes dry with a wine like character.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 4/23/2017. Pours crystal clear dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, maple, honey, vanilla, sea salt, and toasted brown bread; with light notes of nuttiness, cocoa, dark fruit, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malt, caramel/vanilla/salt, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, maple, honey, vanilla, sea salt, and toasted brown bread; with light notes of nuttiness, cocoa, dark fruit, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, maple, honey, vanilla, sea salt, toasted brown bread, light nuttiness/cocoa, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malt, caramel/vanilla/salt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and slightly saline/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very good flavored American brown ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malt, caramel/vanilla/salt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, easy, and a bit crisp to drink. I expected this to be a lot sweeter and fuller bodied than it actually was. Very well balanced with hop bitterness. Nice malt complexity, flavors are well represented and not overwhelming. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle, "Enjoy by 05/04/17"
Pours dark brown and murky, undeer a mocha mini cap, that leaves a slight film, thin collar and minor low sheeting and some bits of lacing.
Caramel malts on the nose
Waves of more caramel on the palate, perhaps a salt note in the back ground, as it warms, more caramel, some nuttyness, and malty goodness come forward....complex and quite tasty brown ale with some bells and whistles tossed in,,,well worth a try
