this was sooo good and definitely the best one! It may have been because I didn't eat the cookies!

Bought in a 12 pack on clearance. Pours a hazy amber into the glass with a moderate head which dissipates, leaving lacing as you enjoy the beer. Citrus with some malt in the nose. Somewhat astringent, with some bitterness lingering on the tongue. Enjoyable!

Picked this up in a 12-pack that I split with a friend, bought it at the Downtown Crown Beer and Wine Flying Dog/Otterbein's Cookie and Beer tasting event. Pours with a thick, frothy foam head which leaves great lacing and a thin foam film on top; color is a transparent golden with a very nice red-hue from the cranberries. Aroma is full of sweet cranberries and citrus, slight hops as well. Taste is slightly grassy and mostly cranberry, bitterness riding through at the end as the galaxy hops highlight the cranberry. Very refreshing. Mouthfeel is thin, astringency and bitterness leave a coating behind.
At the beer and cookie tasting I tried a sample of this paired with it's intended cookie (lemon sugar cookie) and it worked exceptionally well. Obviously, this series was crafted with the direct intention to pair with a particular cookie but outside of that concept it's still a good IPA. Relatively one-dimensional, but there aren't really many cranberry based IPAs so this is a nice change of pace.
