From the bottle, it pours a hazy dark brown with a light brown head. Some lacing as you consume. Roasted smell with fig?? Hmm. Roast malt flavor with some fruit, I guess it is fig. Enjoyable.

Had on tap at the brewery.
This beer gets solid fours across the board. It's a very solid stout that's differentiated just enough by its wintery, Christmassy style. Neither the fig nor the fennel is strong, but enough is there to pick up on these dark fruit and subtle spicy flavors.

Look: Paired with an oatmeal raisin cookie, pours a very dark brown with tan head.
Aroma: Roasted notes, slight coffee, the fig comes through more as it warms.
Taste: Roasted, dark fruit focused, and somewhat malty.
Feel: Smooth with higher than expected carbonation, it's not detracting from the quality though. The way it pairs with the oatmeal raisin is done extremely well.
