12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass.
L---Hazy golden amber color. Thick head with good retention and excellent lacing.
S---Hoppy. Pine & citrus.
T---Citrus is dominant grapefruit & orange. Nice hoppy bitterness in the finish.
F---Smoother than you'd think for ABV/DIPA style. Definitely poundable.
O---Excellent DIPA. Will look for this one again.

Very tasty DIPA has a nice level of hop bitterness mixed with some mango/paypaya hop sweetness. Malt presence is balanced and easy to crush. Recommended!

It is the occasion of Merry New Christmas (Eve) Beer Sunday (Week 670) & this continues today's festivities that I anticipate lasting well into the morrow!
From the bottle: "Long distance: Two simple words that are usually a relationship killer. But when one packs a tropical fruit punch of papaya, orange, apricot and grapefruit, the other just might commit to making it work. Now that these Idaho beauties are in your glass, it was totally worth it."
I do not know quite what possessed me, but following the Pop! the cap, I gave it a rather aggro pour. I held my breath as the head came rushing up to greet me before stopping just over the top of the lip of the glass! It formed three-plus fingers of dense, foamy, puffy, tawny head with excellent retention that slowly fell, leaving great lacing in its wake. Color was a gorgeous Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose was not simply tropical/fruit punch as alluded to on the label, but instead infused with an earthiness, perhaps from the malt. Mmmm. Mouthfeel was medium, but kind of thin for this style. Hmm. The taste really had a depth and breadth of flavors, ranging from bitter grapefruit citrus to sweet orange & mango plus an earthiness of both fresh-turned soil & tobacco (as noted by NeroFiddled). Wow! This was not at all what I was expecting, but it far surpassed my expectations. The finish was dry, but less bitter than tea-like. It was actually a very mellow drink in sum, but its alcohol was quickly assertive. Mymymy. This was a real score & left me looking forward to the next entry in the series.

A - clear orange/yellow pour. Finger off head that faded after a few mins.
S - Notes of pine and hops are present along with a goodly amount of citrus that really shows when it warms up.
T - Taste follows the nose. There is a moderate amount of bitterness, at least enough to balance out the citrus.
M - Light/medium bodied, moderate amount of carbonation. Aftertaste dissipates quickly but has a nice dankness to it.
O - A nice beer to have tried, but I found the level of complexity too flat for my taste.

A: The beer is clear orange yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high frothy white head that died down, leaving a short head covering the surface and a web of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of piney hops are present in the nose along with some hints of grapefruit, the latter of which becomes stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste follows the smell, having a strong dose of pine resin (particularly in the finish) but has stronger notes of papayas and grapefruit with hints of apricots and oranges. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: For a single hop IPA, this beer has a lot of complexities in the taste, which made drinking it rather interesting. I also liked the "bite" with the bitterness and crispness.
