Pours a clear copper color with a tight, white head that leaves little chunks of lacing.
Smells of toasted bread and some fruit.
Tastes of the robust malts with a smattering of hops on the backend. Malts lead off with notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted bread. This gives way to some nuttiness and dark fruits with figs and plums. A bit of earthy hops comes towards the end. Finishes with some lingering fruits.
Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a tasty altbier and worth a try.
