Well, this is rare, a bottle courtesy of the captain of the canquest, woodychandler. Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste has a strong malt base, some tropical fruits, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, it ain't bad, but it's not packing a lot of punch.

Welcome back to my Happy New This Year & Beer Are Flying Outta Here On Sunday, Dog (Week 723)! This beer was part of their Last Minute Gift Pack & I was happy to find & buy it at the last minute on Thursday in anticipation of today.
From the Bottle: NOTHING! 8=( Malts: Oats Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Azacca Yeast: American Ale
IBU: 35.
I Pop!ped the cap, but seeing as how there were a LOT of lees on the punt, I went with a slow, gentle pour so as not to rouse them. I left ~ 1/8 of the beer in the bottle to follow up as a later pour. My efforts paid off handsomely, forming just over a finger of foamy, fluffy, bone-white head with decent retention that left a load of lacing in its wake. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). The nose was odd, like a mix of PNW & tropical hops, kind of spicy while also kind of fruity. Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was mild as compared to the nose, more fruity than citrusy, but still rather pleasant. Finish was semi-dry, not overly bitter, slightly tropical in terms of its fruitiness. I was okay with it, but it just seemed to fall a little short overall. Next, for the lees pour: It was cloudier than the initial pour. The taste was only marginally more intense/enhanced. I keep saying - leave the lees where they sit & drink them separately. There would have been little to nothing gained by putting them back into suspension.
