Can into pint glass. Pours a translucent light amber - kind of looks like a pilsner. Hefty white head with good retention. Initial impression is a very subdued sweetness, with virtually no hops presence. Mouthfeel is light. Finish is neutral, with no residual bitterness. Overall, refreshing but nothing to get excited about.

16 ounce can poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

L---Clear, rich golden color. White head faded quickly to a cap and left minimal lacing.

S---Very light aromas of sweet hops & citrus.

T---Taste is stronger than the nose, thank god,. Citrus, orange lemon & grapefruit.

F---Medium bodied with good carbonation. Goes down pretty easy.

O---I'm generally a fan of Flying Dog, but this isn't one of their best efforts. But it's a cold beer on a hot day, so I got that going for me.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy beige head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some light lacing.

S: Herbal, floral, grassy, zesty citrus, spicy pine, hints of stone fruit, lightly toasty crackery biscuity malt, and a touch of sweetness.

T: Herbal, floral, spicy, grassy, resinous pine, lemony citrus, stone fruit undertones, plum, peach, and apricot, lightly toasted crackery biscuity malt, and a touch of sweetness.

M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: This one's throwing me almost English style vibes despite allegedly being brewed with Simcoe and Centennial hops. Definitely not what I was expecting and not necessarily something I'd pick to be my crusher on the course. Feels more like a beer for cool fall nights rather than for a day out in the sun. I am enjoying it, but it just feels a bit to heavy for what's supposed to be a beer focused more on drinkability.

So, is the implication that this is the beer Chevy and Bill would have been drinking if they had been drinking beer instead of shotgunning wine while downing that joint? If so, they didn't miss much. This has only a minimal bop bitterness, but does register. There is also a mellow crystal malt smoothness, but this is pretty watery and light bodied, even in the style. Add half a point if drank actually outside in the sun

poured into a glass, its a pale yellow, very translucent. The smell isn't too standout but its inviting, and a bit complex but mostly a warm, sweet hoppiness. It feels distinctly full-bodied for an IPA, not overwhelmingly hoppy. The flavor is pleasant, sharp and a bit oaky, with a chalky aftertaste that coats your tongue. I wouldnt call this a stand-out but I wouldn't be upset if you handed me one at a party.

Appearance looks like a pilsner with a billow beautiful head and great retention. Strange enough the beer is void of aroma. Taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready with just enough bitter cripsness at the end to balance this beer our very nicely. Its nearly a perfect old school American pale ale actually. Nothing really "jumps" in the flavor, but its great to drink. I can definitely recommend this one. A great session pale ale. Would like to do a side by side with their Doggie Style Pale Ale to see the differences.

16oz can. Clear gold appearance with an average size white head that left light lacing. Muted aroma of moderately sweet malts. Balanced flavor with a touch more bitterness in the aftertaste. Clean, short lived finish.
