Cookies and Cream Milk Stout
Created as an ode to that last swig of milk after you’ve dunked cookies in it, Cream Team Milk Stout is bursting with delicious cookies and creamy ice cream flavors.
Tip toe to the fridge. Avoid the creaky floor board. Slooowly open the fridge ... Wait a minute - you're a goddamn adult and can have cookies any time you want! Inspired by the best dessert combo ever created, Cookies and Cream flavored Stout was born from a love of that last swig of milk after you've dipped 2, 3, 4 - okay 5 cookies - in it. So drink up; calorie don't count after midnight.

L: Pours a nice caramel/cola-colored brew that forms a thick khaki head, which is slow to fade. Really, really slow (maybe I left this in the freezer to chill for too long). Plenty of soapy lacing on the edge of the snifter glass. Held to the light, this beer is a nutty caramel brown.
S: Pungent. Oreo cookies, vanilla, gingerbread, lactose, and plenty of baker's chocolate. Fabulous.
T: This reminds me of Breckenridge Brewery's Porter (in a good way). It tastes like a chocolate or caramel dessert. Heavy doses of baker's chocolate, vanilla, some light maltiness, lactose, and cream. Traces of bourbon in the background, with a light char finish. Damn good stuff.
F: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. A little thinner than a RIS, but that's not a bad thing. Creamy, slightly sticky. Bitter finish.
O: Milk stouts are not really my thing but glad I branched out to try this one (thanks Flying Dog). Tasted like a dessert that you can pour into a glass. Terrific stuff. Wish this was on the shelves more often. No obvious weaknesses, it's not as complex as some stout entries but with flavor like this it doesn't have to be.

12 ounce bottle poured into a snulip.
Best by 7/2/23
Smooth, creamy and viscous, the feel may be its best attribute. The nose does capture the likeness of an Oreo cookie but the flavor has more of a coffee and cream character. The alcohol is not disguised but is a prominent flavor that seems to add balance to the vanilla sweetness. Overall, a good sweet stout, better than I expected.

Pours black with a two finger head. Aroma is chocolate and lactose at the end. Taste is fairly well carbonated, smooth and gives the impression of cookies and cream. Chocolate is present, though not to the same degree as in the aroma. The 9.5% ABV is well hidden. Quite drinkable.

Didn’t think this one would exceed expectations so heavily. So smooth, rich, and silky. Chocolate tones, chocolate nose, perfect sweetness. Would love to see this one on the shelves.

Feel: It has a medium body that has a creamy texture.
Overall, it's a bit sweet with some nice chocolate and dark fruit notes.

12 ounce bottle poured into an Applebees style 22 ounce glass. Best by 6/12/22, so super fresh.
L---Deepest darkest brown. Nice fluffy light brown head had very good retention and left beautiful lacing.
S---Chocolate cookies for sure. Wifey says Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies. Some roasted coffee.
T---Chocolate. If I didn't know better, I'd say barrel. Vanilla with some very light coffee.
F---Medium/Full mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Feels coating going down.
O---Wow, this is a great one from a well loved local brewery.

Look: Black with a beige head.
Smell: Cocoa powder and booze.
Taste: Strong cocoa powder, alcohol and sweet stout.
Feel: Medium to heavy, slightly sticky.
Overall: A pretty good stout. A little heavy on the cocoa powder for me but otherwise very enjoyable. I really enjoy the strong alcohol notes in the taste and aroma.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a dark
blackish brown with a nice head of tan foam that sizzles to a thick ring,
thin dusty layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of deep roast, vanilla,
char, and cocoa with touches of coffee. Flavors expand nicely on the nose with
dark cocoa, cream, moderate char, deep roast, vanilla, and touches of coffee.
Nice mouth feel; medium full body, smooth, lightly coating, moderately rich,
light carbonation that supplies some nice lift, and a bitter malt driven
finish.
Overall, a solid little brew from a great little brewery!
Cheers

Pours pitch black with a small tan cap, nice retention and lacing. Aroma is chocolate and slight smokiness. Flavor is as one would expect, chocolate, oreo cookies. and smoky malt. Feel is medium bodied. Overall a nice beer that has a touch of sweetness without going over the top.

Poured into a 16 oz tulip glass before 7/02/2021. Pours a very dark near pitch black, with a solid finger plus light brown head that leaves plenty of thick streaks of lace, with nice retention. 4.25
Aroma sweet chocolate, vanilla, coffee grounds, caramel, and toffee really very pleasant. 4.25
Taste follows Oreo, vanilla, caramel, and toffee pretty one dimensional but pretty darn tasty. 4.25
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, not really dry, plenty of life, and at 9.5% really easy drinking. 4.25
Overall I am really enjoying it, a very tasty and overall well crafted Stout. I would recommend giving it a try. 4.25

Appearance:
Lacquered black, like pouring liquid onyx. A finger of beige foam billows to the surface, then settles into a demure circlet that retains well and garnishes the glass with a winsome sheet of long, unbroken lacing.
Bouquet:
Imagine crushing a fresh Oreo in your hand and taking a whiff. Biscuity, chocolate wafer and dark malts flanking a core of sweet, airy, vanilla cream.
Feel:
Full-bodied and soft as cream filing. Medium carbonation provides texture contrast, like the bumps and ridges of an Oreo wafer. The linger is sharp, fluffy, and concludes with a cozy, fireplace warmth.
Taste:
A roasted crust of intensely black, chocolate cookie covers a cold stream of milk chocolate spiked with vanilla. The aftertaste is charry, bittersweet, and finishes with a teaspoon of vanilla bean ice cream.
Overall:
Superb balance, just barely sweet, and the alcohol is well-hidden. Blatantly superior to their Cookies 'N Cream rarities release in 2019. The only problem is: Its Flying Dog. They can't manage to be consistent from one bottle to the next, even between brews in the same six pack. The boldness of its aroma and flavor range anywhere from grand to sparse each time I drink one.
