12FL. OZ. bottle
Served in an IPA glass

This beer pours amber with a slight haze and golden highlights. It is topped with a couple inches of off-white head that leaves little lacing.

Citrus fruit aroma.

Mango and citrus flavor. Light pine

Medium bodied with an effervescent mouthfeel

Not great

I was expecting o like this one with the citrus and tropical fruit emphasis but there was a very unpleasant aftertaste that basically took away most enjoyment of this beer. I had to look it up on the brewery website because I thought there might have been some Summit Hops involved. There is a percentage of people that get a weird "rotten vegetable" taste from Summit hops. I am one of them (Oskar Blues Gubna tastes like crap to me). But no Summit hops here - Mosaic and Citra. The beer looks and smells good. Hazy light copper color and a medium sized foamy white head. Head retention is about average and there is some light lacing on the glass. The mango and tangerine come through in the nose loud and clear. The taste is ruined by a sour, metallic aftertaste. I got a fleeting hint of the fruit and then this nasty taste. Mouthfeel shows very little bitterness - the taste overwhelms any other mouthfeel comments I might have had. I won't be drinking this one again!!!!

6 pack 12 oz glass bottles purchased at Weis Mt. Pocono. Poured into standard pilsner glass. I feel like I don't know what to expect from this brewery because of their wacky names.

Highlights include the hazy dark amber appearance. Very attractive, very alluring. The aroma is quite juicy and grows on you, while the taste is surprisingly malt forward and contrasts harshly with the style's expectations. The smooth and rich body tips the scale for me overall. Cheers!
