Born with an intensity that outmatches any double IPA, an animalistic yearning for hell raising resides inside the bottle. Crack one open…if you dare.

Look - Nice copper but more orangish with nice rimming
Smell and taste - malty caramel citrus grassy and lots of resin
Feel - medium full body, creamy with a medium light carb
Overall - has that resin west coast to an easy coast and lots of malt and booze

If you like strong alcohol flavor, that’s the first hit you get. Then it quickly transitions to a sharp but beautiful bitter bite that travels the entire tongue and rests nicely for at least a minute. The more you sip the better it gets. Good strong imperial, IPA, not getting much of the normal hazy flavors, but it’s still sweet!

A - Hazy dark orange gold with a dense layer of white foam, mild carbonation, and lots of yeast floaties.
S - Big peppery, spicy citrus aroma.
T - Nice solid caramel malt base with spicy citrus, peppery citrus rind, citrus, some juicy floral, and ends with a big boozy resiny citrus floral bitterness. There's a nice, lingering spicy citrus on the palate when the alcohol settles after the sip.
M - Big silky body with pronounced warming in the back of the throat.
O - A big booze bomb (as expected). The downside, the alcohol presence gets in the way of the glorious citrus spiciness.

Bottle "best by" 8/13/23 into pint glass. Pours a quite hazy dark honey gold with an enthusiastic and quite persistent off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is dominant maltiness, with some citrus overtones and some fairly obvious booziness. Mouthfeel is smooth and sticky. Finish fades to a slight resinous bitterness. Overall, every bit as good as the original Double Dog.
